To play a game first of all you have to download the right version of the game :

Where there are topics for games in the week (Semaine in french) or the weekend, you can register for one or more game in each topic (just by saying : i'm here every day or i'm here only monday and tuesday).

Usually there is at least a game every day around 9.30 pm (UTC +1 : Paris time).

In your case the best thing is to come early, around 30 mins before the game and ask someone to start a "test" game with you.
This in order to check that your configuration is ok for playing.
